Fredrik Iverström is part of MAQS’ procedural law group and specialises in dispute resolution and conflict management. He has a long experience representing and counselling mostly large (but also medium-sized) domestic and foreign companies in various kinds of commercial disputes, both in court and during Swedish and international arbitration proceedings. In recent times, he has acted as an arbitrator at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and as a mediator at the Chamber’s Mediation Institute, notably in cases where the parties share the objective of settling the case with an amicable settlement.

Disputes are a natural occurrence in business, and whether a company has been sued or has chosen in initiate a process against another, constructive litigation is paramount for effective conflict management. Put differently, this means that the logical and primary goal of winning the litigation process should be combined with an exploration of the ways through which the dispute might be ended by agreement. Thanks to his skills acquired while representing clients, arbitrating and mediating, Fredrik has the broad experience required to deliver such results.
