![]() MAQS LAWYER HANS SCHEDIN NEW MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF THE SWEDISH SECURITIES COUNCIL 2010-01-14 The Association for Generally Accepted Principles in the Securities Market, announced the appointment of Mr. Hans Schedin, partner at MAQS Law Firm, to the Board of the Swedish Securities Council, effective January 1st, 2010. Hans Schedin has an extensive experience in financial law, financial regulatory issues and supervision, and crisis management. Before joining MAQS Hans Schedin was Deputy Director General, Chief Legal Counsel at the Financial Supervisory Authority (Swe: Finansinspektionen) 1994-2005 and during the Swedish bank crisis in the 1990s Hans Schedin was Deputy Director General, Chief Legal Counsel with the Bank Support Authority 1993-1994. Hans Schedin has also been working as Legal Adviser to the Swedish Prime Minister, the Minister of Public Administration and the Minister of Finance. At MAQS Hans Schedin heads the Capital Markets department. The Swedish Securities Council (Swe: Aktiemarknadsnämnden) promotes good practices in the Swedish stock market through statements, advice and information. The Council is comprised of representatives of the business community. The Council began its operations in 1986 at the initiative of the Federation of Swedish Industries and the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Today the Council is one of four organizations that make up the Association for Generally Accepted Principles in the Securities Market. The others are the Swedish Industry and Commerce Stock Exchange Committee, the Swedish Corporate Governance Board and the Swedish Financial Reporting Board.
