JEPPE HOYER JORGENSEN JOINS MAQS COPENHAGEN

Jeppe Hoyer Jorgensen, lawyer (LLM) has joined the Copenhagen office of MAQS as partner in the Labor and Employment law group.

Jeppe is 39 years old and has more than 10 years’ experience as practicing lawyer specialized within the field of labor and employment law with the Danish law firm Bech-Bruun.

During his career Jeppe has been active in writing books and articles and is among other things co-author of the newly published latest edition of “The Danish Act on Employees’ Rights in connection with Transfer of Undertakings (TUPE)” (2009), a leading book on the subject. In addition, Jeppe has written a number of recent articles in leading legal publications on subjects such as “Force majeure clauses and work conflicts” and “CSR – Corporate Social Responsibility and HR”. For several years Jeppe has also contributed to the Doing Business 2009 issued by the World Bank.

Moreover, Jeppe is a professional lecturer in courses directed to lawyer colleagues within a number of employment law-related subjects such as “Labor and employment law due diligence”, “TUPE and collective agreements”, “CSR and HR” as well as “Personnel Handbook and employee policies”. Jeppe has recently acted as speaker on the ”International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Responsibilities for Human Rights, and International Law” arranged by CBS and the University of Copenhagen.

Jeppe was admitted to the High Court in 2001 and has represented a large number of international and multinational companies in some of the largest M&A transactions and restructuring processes during recent years. Moreover, Jeppe has been representing larger, middle-sized and smaller Danish companies in a number of litigations before the Danish courts and arbitration.

Jeppe graduated in 1996 from the University of Copenhagen after having completed one year of law studies at McGill University in Montréal, Canada (the LLM-programme).

Jeppe is "Recommended" within employment and labour law in Legal 500 (2009).

Besides, Jeppe is also participating in various international network groups including IBA, ABA and EELA.
