The two internationally-oriented law firms MAQS and Bang + Regnarsen are joining forces to form the strongest Nordic law firm. The merger aims to give large Danish and international companies a single Nordic partner capable of delivering all of the legal services they require in the Nordic countries.

MAQS currently has approximately 330 employees at its offices in Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, already serving a large number of Danish and Nordic companies. Bang + Regnarsen also has close Nordic cooperations and many years of experience in advising on Danish-German matters. Bang + Regnarsen brings 7 partners and 37 employees to the merger.

The new MAQS will be the largest Nordic law firm with more than 380 employees.

With the merger, MAQS not only strengthens competences in key areas of corporate law and commercial agreements, but also in a number of specific legal areas such as shipping and transport, insolvency and Bang + Regnarsen’s specialty, German law.
