MAQS Law Firm supports the XXIIIth Baltic Criminology conference Crime and Punishment in the Baltic region, which will take place in Vilnius on October 21-23.

The conference is organized by the Lithuanian Society of Criminology together with the University of Vilnius, Institute of Law and the Centre Crime Prevention in Lithuania. The purpose of the conference is the scientific analysis of crime and imposing of penalties in the Baltic region, and shall be presented by the criminologists and related disciplines scientists. The basic purpose of the conference is to share scientific knowledge, research results, ideas and experiences in solving urgent problems of the Baltic Criminological. To this day 20 foreign criminologists, as well as 80 Lithuanian one approved their attendance of the conference. This event bears significant mean to the preparation of Annual European Criminologists Association’s conference to be held by the same institutions and organizations in Vilnius during 7-10 of September 2011.
