The final of NIR moot court took place December 19, 2008 in Stockholm Supreme court. MAQS Law Firm IP participants won the final of this years moot court. The North Face Apparel Co. and their legal representative Richard Wessman at MAQS Law Firm in Stockholm, were successful in a recent case in the Swedish Supreme Court. The court decided against the defendant, having infringed North Face’s trademark rights by importing conterfeit North Face apperal. The decision clearly strengthens trade mark owners’ possibilities to combat pirate goods.

This year two Danish teams from Copenhagen University have qualified for the final oral round of NIR Moot Court. The case will be pleaded December 19, 2008, in Stockholm Supreme Court and audience are welcome.

Since the 23rd of October this year and during the following month, 22 students from the Danish law school have participated in Juridisk Diskussionsklubs (The Legal Debate Society’s) annual moot trial.
